Referring back to my previous post, patterned bottoms of any color can usually be paired with a solid, yet stylish, black top (a wardrobe necessity). These jersey tribal shorts can be easily made by folding a pair of your favorite shorts in half, placing the fold of the shorts on the fold of the fabric, and cutting around them. Sew the sides together. Sew the inseam. Add a hem at the waistline. Thread in some elastic. Ta-da!
I find it completely necessary on multiple occasions to have a simple, yet stylish, black top. With such a top, you can pair it with almost any patterned or solid colored bottoms. Needless to say, I made this simple, yet stylish, black top. Seeing that I own more black clothing than a goth child, this is not my first black necessity top.
One more summer project that couldn’t wait another year: grey-blue linen keyhole tank top. Easily can be paired with skinny jeans or tucked into a skirt.
