Referring back to my previous post, patterned bottoms of any color can usually be paired with a solid, yet stylish, black top (a wardrobe necessity). These jersey tribal shorts can be easily made by folding a pair of your favorite shorts in half, placing the fold of the shorts on the fold of the fabric, and cutting around them. Sew the sides together. Sew the inseam. Add a hem at the waistline. Thread in some elastic. Ta-da!

Dresses with cut-outs are my weakness, and they are not just a fad in my opinion. Designers keep finding new ways to incorporate cut-outs in dresses. The first cut-outs I remember were the triangle-shape cut-outs on both sides right under the bust.
